Chaimongkol Wiriyasatjaporn (Kru Ohm)
Kru Ohm is a cellist and an independent music scholar. That has lived a sensational life in the classical music scene in Thailand for over 10 years, both in the role of musician, music teacher, conductor, orchestra librarian and graphic designers that are known in the classical music field.
Kru Ohm started playing music from being a clarinetist in the military band of the elementary school. He got music talent quota scholarship for further study at the middle and high school levels, then went to study political science (Public Administration) at Thammasat University which he learned to play cello from Asst. Prof. Touchapong Srisuwan, senior in the Orchestra of Thammasat University (TU Orchestra)
After graduating with a bachelor's degree, he has worked as a Human Resources Officer at the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand. During that time, he was selected to be a member of the Siam Sinfonietta Youth Orchestra and participated in various concerts both with Siam Sinfonietta and Siam Philharmonic Orchestra in Thailand, USA, Germany, Hong Kong and Czech Republic then resigned from the Thai Chamber of Commerce to serve as an Orchestra Librarian of the Bangkok Opera Foundation. After that, he continues to study at the master's degree in Music theory at the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University. In the meantime, he chose to study cello as a secondary practice with Ajarn Apichai Leamthong.
At present, Kru Ohm is doing a master's thesis in music theory at the Conservatory of Music, Rangsit University, an assistant to the group leader and cello instructor for the Thammasat University Symphony Orchestra and studying the harp seriously with Ajarn Dharawadee Kanotai also.
